I've had it with Twitter...

My main Twitter account has just been suspended. Is it because I'm advocating the use of an url shortener other than Bit.ly ? Namely adf.ly where one can make money with.

Is it because a critical tweet about the following limits ?

Any case, there is now a message:

Account Suspended
This account is currently suspended and is being investigated due to strange activity. If we have suspended your account mistakenly, please let us know. See Suspended Accounts for more information.

Google Knol contribution on microblogs

My Knol on microblogs has been largely based on the content of this microblogs social network.

And there is a link back to here, ofcourse.

Let's just say, I'm proud of it.

Microblogging has gone mainstream.

Please read the article "How the Web is Changing Work" by Chris Garrett
http://www.blogherald.com/2008/06/21/how-the-web-is-changing-work/

Very insightfull article ! I like the way twitter has been mentioned, BTW.

First time I find a mention of a microblog in an article not about microblogging or social networking but on a larger topic.

Conclusion: twitter/microblogging has gone mainstream.

Thanks for the welcome, Pieter.

I look forward to exchanging ideas and resources with the members of this community.

Microblogging will be taking on a more prominent position in my follow up to the "Web 2.0 Resource Bible"

Thanks again,

Thank you, Pieter, also for creating an account on cirip.ro.

You are welcome to use it, to open private or public groups, to monitor feeds ( search feeds also ), to specify your profile on friendfeed, thus making known the activity on other networks ( like this one ), to send / to import tweets.

I will open 2 new threads here.

Thanks,
Carmen

Hello,

Just heard about this group from my friend, Gabriela.

It's nice you have opened it, I'm glad to be here and to share with all the members.

Don't you think it would be useful to have 2 forum threads for Let's know each other and a Coffee House for informal discussions, to present ourselves before jumping in the topics related to different platforms?

Thanks,
Carmen

Hi Pieter, i am a new member of your Network and I am the founder of www.meetango.com, a new site that i have just launched that has a new scope in the lifestream arena.
Below i describe it for you.
I count with your help to spread it in your network.
thanks, Helder

Meetango.com is a community where you inform WHAT YOU WANT TO DO – such as watch a movie, go to a rock concert, an art exposition – and meet someone to go along with you.
Meetango.com makes real life meetings easier, connecting people with common interests to do things together, always focusing on fun, friendship and even dating.

Today´s user problem

• Problem: Nowadays, in the current metropolitan lifestyle, people get more solitary. When they have time to go out they do not have someone to join them and most of the time they do things alone or stay at home. This becomes more critical when such person is outside his living place where all people are strangers..
• Traditional Solution: the traditional solution for that is to try to call or send emails to friends and pray for one of them to be available and join you in your activity. But this is not very efficient and most of the time they are not available to join you.

Meetango solves this problem

• Meetango solves this problem by offering an online environment where a person streams her/his wanted local activities and her/his friends candidate themselves to join in
• Apart of that, Meetango increases a lot the chances of not doing an activity alone as strangers can candidate as well to join in, becoming as well a platform to make new friends and dating
• For strangers/visitors to locations that are not in their living town, Meetango helps them to find/meet new people and make activities together
• Such problem becomes more critical when the time of the activity is very near to the time when it was posted, what is solved by Meetango based that it provides instantaneous alarm notifications to users
